The resident priest at the Christ Holy Church International Umuonaje-Asaba, Rev. Alexander Muo, has reiterated that false accusation attracts victory and that there is always a lesson to be learned in every trying time.
He said this while giving his sermon at the church cathedral on Sunday, March 19, 2023, on the occasion of the international youth thanksgiving across all branches of Christ Holy Church International.
The Clergyman warned believers not to allow human judgements and criticisms to lead them to anxiety and depression, especially when they are sure that they are not guilty of those accusations.
"You should not allow the things people say behind your back, demoralize you, or cause you to overthink. What you have to do, is to work on yourself and ensure you are growing both in your relationship with God and your career" he said.
Rev. Muo also added that failures and disappointments are part of life. He challenged Christians to have faith that they are born to change the stories of their generation.
His words: "do not let your family background or whatever you are currently passing through make you feel that God doesn't love you... Sometimes, problems come to us for us to learn and grow... You must avoid worry, especially in times of hunger, persecution, and disappointments."
Quoting from Matthew 6:25, he concluded by encouraging believers to keep trusting God for all needs and not worry themselves over material things.
